SelectionAbstract: The research study is based on the process of Recruitment & Selection process of Cipla, Pharmaceuticals Company. This study is intended to understand the impact of the above mentioned process and its effectiveness. Based on detailed examination of literature on best practices in Recruitment & Selection, the research questionnaires were developed and using qualitative research methods, the Recruitment & Selection practices of Cipla were investigated.
The data gathered through questionnaires which were completed by the employees of Cipla states that there are many ways through which the company attracts new candidates the most prevalent methods include the use of application blanks selection interview, tests, assessment counters and reference checks. Selection interview is relatively in-depth conversation for the purpose of assessing candidate’s knowledge, skills and abilities as well as providing information to the candidate about the organization and potential jobs. The questionnaires also help the company to know whether the employees of the company are satisfied with their job and the salary package offered to them by the company. One desire is the company to determine the reasons why their employees leave their jobs. Reasons may be due to work pressure or to no growth opportunities. Another aim is to know whether the deserving employee is performing the right task or not. This will enable the researcher to understand the process of Recruitment & Selection.
The main limitation of this research is that the primary data collected through questionnaires is only employees’ perspective about the Recruitment & Selection process not the employers’ viewpoints. If both employees and employers’ perspectives could have been known it would have given a clearer understanding of the process.Curricular : BBA/GE/MBA Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=26587 SIU IS. The researcher uses free and face to face response interviews of purchasers and sellers, both males and females. Regarding tangible factors, the most important was related to aesthetics. Comparison of responses of customers who purchased and customers who did not purchase jade jewelry revealed that different factors had primary effects in two stages of the purchase process: the motivation phase which might include their reasons to buy, and the trial phase, the actual buying or rejecting phase. In the first phase, motivation may depend on social competition, popularity, and vanity or on the reasons as such they want them for personal use, for gift and or just for collection reason. They were the most critical in influencing selection of the jewelry from the display racks or cabinets. Fit, styling, and appearance on the body were more important in determining rejection or adoption of the garments during the trial phase (when the customers try them on). Seller reputation, word-of-mouth recommendation and expertise are the important determining factors as well. In other word, trust is also a necessity. The researcher begins in her research to identify the most influencing factors which draw the purchasers to make decision in purchasing jade jewelry. Then, she methodologically discuses her finding concluding her work with her finding comparing with what scholars says theoretically Curricular : BBA/MBA Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=26589 SIU IS. Specifically, the paper examines the phenomena in three separate locations within Thailand. The paper will also review the literature surrounding road safety in general, road safety for motorcyclists, proper helmet use, Thai acts of parliament aimed at motorcyclists, and the degree to which helmet use is enforced or policed in Thailand.
Experts posit that road fatalities, and the serious debilitating injuries caused by road traffic accidents, can impact a nation’s GDP by as much as 5%. Perhaps even more importantly, especially in the context of a developing country, is the direct impact to families who lose their prime bread-winner or wage-earner. This loss may either be permanent, as in the case of a fatality, or extended over a protracted period of time, where families find themselves having to care for severely injured members. In the latter case, the requirement for care is often long-term, with little in the way of insurance or medical benefits to offset the burden.
It is hoped that a study of motorcycle related road traffic fatalities may identify or highlight interventions or strategies that could be employed to mitigate the road toll in Thailand.

This study is quantitative research, using a structured questionnaire to collect the data from 87 employees who have been affected human resource development from motivation. The researcher analyzes data variables using percentages, frequencies, means, standard deviations, T-Test, and ANOVA to test hypotheses to answer the research questions.
The study identifies independent variables including demographic factors (age, gender, education and work experience). The dependent variables are 4 parts of self-development motivation such as Intrinsic motivation, Reward System, Organization climate and Structures of work.
The result shows that demographic factors mainly of age, gender and work experience do not have significant relationship with the motivation of self-development of Thai metal processing’s employees, while the education factor has a significant relationship with the motivation of self-development of Thai metal processing’s employeesCurricular : BBA/MBA/PhDM Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=26604 SIU SS. Fleishman-Hillard SustainabilityAbstract: Wood Craft Centre Limited (hereinafter WCCL) a government undertaking organization and one of the leading furniture manufacturers in Bhutan, has been the choice of many customers, mainly government agencies and corporate bodies in purchasing and procurement of furniture products. With the change in the living standard of the Bhutanese people, the preference for the modern furniture is increasing yearly. With the increase in the preference and demand for the furniture, and also the private sector development being much emphasized by the government .Although it is seen as a noble pursuit in the economic development many new furniture houses are coming up, so WCCL fears competition from competitors and withdrawal of support rendered by the government. Hence, the WCCL’s sustainability in a competitive environment is under enormous threat.
Mindful of this problem and to help address the same, this report has been prepared by conducting research in the sponsor company (WCCL). The research was undertaken with clear objectives, purpose and methodology as outlined in the study. This report presents an analysis of the data collected from the WCCL in addition to semi-structured questionnaires that were circulated to its past, present and potential customers.
The SWOT analysis of WCCL shows the internal and the external factors determining the situation of the company. The usage of Porter’s five forces indicates what forces are operating in the market and Fleishman-Hillard Sustainability talks about the long run sustainability. The other issue existed which existed for a long time is pricing. Price has always been a concern to its customers. In order to compete in the market, the WCCL either has to adopt product differentiation or start high volume production. The WCCL has the competitive advantage in the area of barrier to entry, access to working capital and ownership of the equipment. These will help the WCCL to grow in terms of sustainability in the long run.

AlignmentAbstract: The world is shrinking, with improvements in Information Systems and Technology (IS/IT). The ability to do business regardless of location have given rise to unprecedented globalization. But, competing in this "global village" offers the companies of today big opportunities and equally big challenges. It is obvious, to state that all organizations whether public or private, are now dependent to the point of absolute on their IS/IT systems. Integrating these systems into organizations has been identified as a vital process in IS/IT ‘strategic planning’. The increased dependence on technologies in businesses has led to many catastrophic failures or successes in some organizations. IS/IT strategies have triggered, or contributed these catastrophic failures or shaped the success in organizations.
The IS/IT strategy gives organizations a competitive advantage when properly managed. These competitive advantages are typically temporary as competitors often seek ways to duplicate the competitive advantage. In order to stay ahead of competition, organizations have to continually develop new competitive advantages. In this study we focus on how organizations strategically manage their IS/IT resources as a competitive advantage. Businesses try to overcome today’s challenges by developing new models of competition, governing their IS/IT resources, and innovating their business processes to thrive in this digital age.
