Title : Maintaining Integrity : How Nurses Navigate Boundaries in Pediatric Palliative Care Material Type: printed text Publication Date: 2017 Article on page: p.42-49 Languages : English (eng) Original Language : English (eng)
in Journal of Pediatric Nursing > Vol.35 No.4 (Jul-Aug) 2017 [09/04/2017] . - p.42-49Keywords: Pediatric palliative care, Nursing, Nurses, Boundaries, Grounded theory. Abstract: Purpose
To explore how nurses manage personal and professional boundaries in caring for seriously ill children and their families.
Design and methods
Using a constructivist grounded theory approach, a convenience sample of 18 registered nurses from four practice sites was interviewed using a semi-structured interview guide.
Results
Nurses across the sites engaged in a process of maintaining integrity whereby they integrated two competing, yet essential, aspects of their nursing role – behaving professionally and connecting personally. When skillful in both aspects, nurses were satisfied that they provided high-quality, family-centered care to children and families within a clearly defined therapeutic relationship. At times, tension existed between these two aspects and nurses attempted to mitigate the tension. Unsuccessful mitigation attempts led to compromised integrity characterized by specific behavioral and emotional indicators. Successfully mitigating the tension with strategies that prioritized their own needs and healing, nurses eventually restored integrity. Maintaining integrity involved a continuous effort to preserve completeness of both oneself and one's nursing practice.
Conclusions
Study findings provide a theoretical conceptualization to describe the process nurses use in navigating boundaries and contribute to an understanding for how this specialized area of care impacts health care providers.Link for e-copy: http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-pediatric-nursing/ Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=27440 [article] Maintaining Integrity : How Nurses Navigate Boundaries in Pediatric Palliative Care [printed text] . - 2017 . - p.42-49.

Prevention and ControlAbstract: China's security market started late. The history is short. But such cases of financial fraud continue to occur. This phenomenon is not only in our country, but in the whole world. It has not found a way to truly eliminate it. These financial frauds will have an indelible impact on the security market, and it takes a long time to recover. Not only is it eroding the interests of investors. And it is not conducive to the use of social facilities. Therefore, we should strengthen the research on financial fraud, and take early prevention. We should strengthen the prevention and control of such financial fraud in our country. To promote the healthy and fair development of the security market.
This paper takes Xintai electric financial fraud as an example. First of all, it introduces its fraud cases, and then analyzes the means of its fraud, including four aspects: the reduction of accounts receivable, the preparation of less bad debts, the use of tax incentives and less material cost. After that, the two aspects of financial statements and financial indicators are also analyzed, including the changes in the assets and liabilities items, the composition, the profit table, the internal logical connection between the cash flow statement, the analysis and comparison of the operation ability and profitability of the same industry. Secondly, using the theory of fraudulent risk factors to analyze the motivation of the financial fraud of Xintai electric, we find the lack of legal awareness of the integrity of the company's internal managers. Secondly, in order to go on the market and to keep the market after the market, it is due to the performance of the company in order to protect the city. Counterfeiting is not easy to find, and the punishment is very low after being discovered. All factors combined together make Xintai electric successfully cheat. Finally, aiming at the emergence of fraud, according to the motivation of fraud, we put forward some measures, such as strengthening moral quality construction, introducing external supervisors, high reputation independent directors, implementing audit rotation system and improving illegal costs.
The Xintai electric event has an important significance in the history of the development of China's security market. The in-depth study of the Xintai electric event can play a vigilant role in other companies that have not been fraudulent. In addition, through the study of financial fraud and other behaviors, it is beneficial to the scientific development of the capital market. It is beneficial to establish effective protection mechanism for investors. It is beneficial to improve the supervision and to build a harmonious and developing economic environment.Curricular : BBA/MBA Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28031 SIU IS. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence Nepalese customers when using the Internet banking channel. In order to achieve this goal the Technology Acceptance Model is used as a theoretical framework to be extended with other variables derived from other models.
The research is using a random sample of bank customers from Kathmandu valley who were asked to fill in a questionnaire that was adjusted to Internet banking requirements. The results were examined by a series of statistical measures and were generalized in order to correspond to the research objective. It is demonstrated that the most important factors affecting e-banking usage among Nepalese bank customers were found to be Perceived ease of Use and complexity. Lastly, ideas for bank managers are proposed and suggestions for further research are made.Curricular : BBA/MBA Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=26927 SIU IS. Many organizations looked for a solution to convert and delivery face-to-face training content in a form of multimedia mobile learning content utilizing content authoring tools and mobile learning application.
In this study, the development of multimedia mobile leaning authoring tool called Book Builder is described. The tool enables conversion of classroom based training materials into online interactive contents. The use of interactive elements and media can help enhance learning and knowledge retention. Together with the suitable Learning Management System, the tool produces engaging and interactive mobile learning content which can be distributed to iOS based mobile learning platform.
Furthermore, the evaluation questionnaires on the Book Builder tool were given to participants at the workshop on Courseware Multimedia Development in Singapore. The evaluation results indicate that the respondents generally preferred ease of use over powerful functions. In addition, the results point out some commonalities among the features, and the features of the Book Builder which are highly helpful.Curricular : BSCS/MSIT Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=26232 SIU RS.
