in วารสารการพยาบาลและสุขภาพ > Vol.10 No.3 (Sep-Dec) 2016 [03/24/2017] . - p.13-28Keywords: Nurse caring behavior.Nursing theory.Theory synthesis. Abstract: This paper is a report of the development of nursing presence as theory of nursing.
Method. The nursing literature was searched using the cumulative and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) and MEDLINE database using the keywords nursing presence. nursing care and presence and nurse-caring behavior. The reference lists of the sources were scrutinized. Eight reviews had contents pertinents to nursing presence and live describe the theory systhesis was used in the development of nursing presence as theory of nursing.
Finding A conceptual model framework of nusing practice was developed to elucide nurse antecedents of personal characteristics and professional maturity that arise from the acquisition of education practice and experience in nursing situations promoted by a conductive practice environment.

Conclusion The result of this theory development provides a better understanding of nursing presence as an important nursing intervention and offers insight into holistic approach in patient care. Further study is recommendation to explicate the proposed conceptual model/framework in various nursing practice situations.Curricular : BNS Link for e-copy: http://www.nurse.nu.ac.th/journals/index.php Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=26592 [article] The development of nursing presence as theory of nursing [printed text] / Nebres, Almira P, Author . - 2017 . - p.13-28.

Methodology.Class number: WY105 C810 2013 Abstract: y Due to ethical issues surrounding data collection in the field of healthcare, students are no longer able to undertake their own empirical research. This book is written for nursing and midwifery students completing a research project based on reviewing published literature and using secondary data. It de-mystifies the concept of literature review methodology and supports students writing up their dissertation, thesis or work-based learning project. The book provides step-by-step guidance on: identifying a research problem; qualitative and quantitative research design; literature searching; ethical considerations; analysis of secondary data, and writing your dissertation. Through its discussion of non-empirical methods, the book also prepares students for future empirical research by providing examples of best practice in healthcare research. The book is essential reading for undergraduates and postgraduates who want to succeed in their nursing or midwifery research project Curricular : BNS Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=23645 Doing a research project in nursing and midwifery : a basic guide to research using the literature review methodology [printed text] / Comerasamy, Huguette, Author ; Siu, Carroll, Author . - 1st ed. . - London ; Thousand Oaks, Calif. : SAGE, 2013 . - xvi, 196 p. : ill ; 24 cm.

Title : Maintaining Integrity : How Nurses Navigate Boundaries in Pediatric Palliative Care Material Type: printed text Publication Date: 2017 Article on page: p.42-49 Languages : English (eng) Original Language : English (eng)
in Journal of Pediatric Nursing > Vol.35 No.4 (Jul-Aug) 2017 [09/04/2017] . - p.42-49Keywords: Pediatric palliative care, Nursing, Nurses, Boundaries, Grounded theory. Abstract: Purpose
To explore how nurses manage personal and professional boundaries in caring for seriously ill children and their families.
Design and methods
Using a constructivist grounded theory approach, a convenience sample of 18 registered nurses from four practice sites was interviewed using a semi-structured interview guide.
Results
Nurses across the sites engaged in a process of maintaining integrity whereby they integrated two competing, yet essential, aspects of their nursing role – behaving professionally and connecting personally. When skillful in both aspects, nurses were satisfied that they provided high-quality, family-centered care to children and families within a clearly defined therapeutic relationship. At times, tension existed between these two aspects and nurses attempted to mitigate the tension. Unsuccessful mitigation attempts led to compromised integrity characterized by specific behavioral and emotional indicators. Successfully mitigating the tension with strategies that prioritized their own needs and healing, nurses eventually restored integrity. Maintaining integrity involved a continuous effort to preserve completeness of both oneself and one's nursing practice.
Conclusions
Study findings provide a theoretical conceptualization to describe the process nurses use in navigating boundaries and contribute to an understanding for how this specialized area of care impacts health care providers.Link for e-copy: http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-pediatric-nursing/ Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=27440 [article] Maintaining Integrity : How Nurses Navigate Boundaries in Pediatric Palliative Care [printed text] . - 2017 . - p.42-49.
