Education AnalyticsAbstract: The objectives of the study were to 1) identify the needs of e-SEM enrollment management system as a road map for achieving specific institutional goals, 2) develop an e-SEM enrollment management system as a proposed prototype for Lampang Rajabhat University or LRU, and 3) determine the effectiveness of the e-SEM enrollment prototype for the LRU specific institutional goals. This study was based on a mixed-method design. The population in this study was 400 administrators, officials, and academic staff of LRU. The samples drawn from the population by the sample calculation of Krejcie and Morgan consisted of 200 administrators and staff. The instruments for data elicitation in this study included two 5-scale evaluation questionnaires, one for identifying the needs of e-SEM enrollment management system and the other for assessing the prototype (namely Student Recruitment Management and Attendance Questionnaire and Questionnaire for Assessing the Efficiency of Prototype of the Student Enrollment Management Activities in Tracking System), an in-depth interview and a visual studio. The questionnaires had been constructed in response to the objectives of the study and then were sent to five judges for the content validity check. The value of the IOC was 0.98. The questionnaire of the needs was sent to 30 respondents for a reliability check, and the value of Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient was 0.971. The data were then qualitatively and qualitatively analyzed to conclude the study.
The study revealed these significant findings. First, for the needs of the e-SEM enrollment management system as a road map for achieving specific institutional goals, the majority of the respondents’ opinions were high in all these areas, including 1) the implementation of e-SEM for the success of student recruitment; 2) the services provided by the agencies in the areas of recruitment selection of students, guidance, and registration. 3) the executing strategy and SEM strategy; 4) the executing tactics and SEM strategy; 5) using digital marketing techniques in recruiting students from target groups; 6) factors to support the success of SEM. Also, on the duration of SEM target evaluation after approval of execution, they agreed that the system could be useful for short-term and medium-term goals. Second, the features of the developed e-SEM enrollment management system as a prototype for LRU, Student Enrollment Activities Tracking System, could be classified into three parts: 1) the SEM process, 2) the system development, and 3) the SEM workflow system. The SEM process consists of these thirteen procedures: 1) Traditional Marketing (UI1), 2) Digital Marketing (UI2), 3) Marketing Lead (ML), 4) Qualified Market Lead (QML ), 5) Sale Lead (SL), 6) Qualified Sale Lead (QSL), 7) Guidance (UI7), 8) Close sale (UI8), 9) Registration (UI9), 10) Payment (UI10), 11) Commencement orientation (UI11), 12) Graduation (UI12) and 13) Alumni (UI13). The SEM process management system consists of eleven procedures: 1) regular marketing, 2) digital marketing, 3) overall marketing, 4) sales, 5) closing sales, 6) guidance, 7) registration tracking, 8) financial monitoring, 9) orientation tracking, 10) tracking graduation and 11) alumni. The software system for SEM management uses a mechanism to alert with the five rules of the notification as follows: 1) notifications, 2) notifications rules for executives, 3) notification rules for activity, 4) SEM education analytics, and 5) definition of SEM data. The SEM data included twenty steps: 1) set goals, 2) define original activities, 3) follow up the activities, 4) marketing lead, 5) designate digital marketing activities, 6) follow the digital marketing activity, 7) digital marketing lead on digital marketing, 8) inclusive marketing lead, 9) quality ML, 10) incubate total ML, 11) forward QML to sales lead, 12) qualified sale lead, 13) close sales activities, 14) guidance, 15) registration, 16) incubation, 17) payment, 18) orientation, 19) conferring a degree and 20) alumni. The evaluation of the proposed prototype was high in all areas: functional requirement evolution, function evolution, usability evolution, security evolution, an overview of usage. Lastly, the results of the proposed e-SEM enrollment prototype assessment were high in all five aspects: 1) defining user ID and password for checking the users of the system (4.82), 2) usefulness for operations and data usage (4.72), 3) overall performance on the user's usage (4.60), 4) accuracy of the results from the processing (4.58), and 5) provision of continuous and stable service always ready to use (4.50) respectively.
As a result of the findings mentioned above, three suggestions for further study are offered: 1) a wide variety of research tools should be added for data collection to get in-depth data. 2) a future study should investigate the opinions of recipients of the service and stakeholders of the university in order to obtain comprehensive information that will lead to a more insightful picture of the study in this area. 3) future research and development should move forward to the use of the system through a variety of portable devices to support management on various platforms such as Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and BlackBerry.Curricular : BSCS/MSIT/PhDT Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=27966 SIU Thesis.
