Dzongkhag Thormdey Theumis: District Business RepresentativesAbstract: The study on the “Communication problem of the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry” (BCCI) is basically aimed to study the current communication problems faced by the BCCI and the sector associations. There has been an ongoing complaint from both the parties that the messages/information’s they try to convey to each other are not conveyed on time/misunderstood and also the outcome of the communications are not fruitful at most of the times. Both the parties has been dissatisfied with each other, however, no initiative has been done to study the core problem of what has been the real Communication problem between BCCI and the Sector Associations .
Therefore, this study is focused in identifying the core problem of communication between the BCCI and the associations and also proposes feasible suggestion for improvement of these communication lapses.
The survey and interview shows that one of the major problems of communication between BCCI and sector associations is the coordination among the organizations as they tend to plan on their own without consulting each other on strategies and developments. No dedicated Communication division/officer at the BCCI is another problem, which at times delays the process of communicating. Inexperienced interns are used for communicating at both BCCI and sector association.
The study also suggests that Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BCCI and Sector Associations, development of a framework for possible cooperation and delineation of roles between BCCI and the sector associations to avoid duplication and crowding and Training of employees and setting up of Communication Division/Officer will resolve the communication problems.

Dhamma.Class number: SIU THE: SOM-PhD-2013-02 Abstract: The main purpose of this research is to identify Buddhist doctrines that have been incorporated into human resource development at private healthcare providers in Thailand. Previous research has indicated that school teachers and scholars at the Ministry of Education throughout 2012 Who had pursued Buddhist Dhamma in Their daily work lives found benefits in terms of work performance productivity and attitude from changes in such indicators as moral behavior (defined in terms of Buddhist precepts)and personal hygiene. To investigate whether this approach was employed which featured in-depth individuals and focus groups involving 54 individuals in the hospitals selected as the research sites at all levels of management, in addition to individuals at the operational level. this was supplemented by ethnographic observation of activities at three hospitals which was used to interrogate the interview data further and in some cases to verify it. The results indicate that executive management does attempt to infuse HRD and all aspects of corporate culture with Buddhist ideals and has gone some way towards considering which aspects of Dhamma are suitable for use in this way. This is manifested in a familial perhaps paternalistic management style that also owens a great deal to confucian ideals and is often to be found in Thai companies, particularly those that are family-owned. it is also manifested to physical representatons of Buddhist practice including meditation sessions and Dhamma lessons internally as well as spiritually-infuse corporate social responsibility initiatives externally. The authenticity and value of these practice is examined. Interestingly, with a good determination a transparency policy as well as a generous mind however the high income and reasonable profit it still the rational target of each business Otherwise the entrepreneurs or stakeholders could not survive in this contemporary business world. and if they can stand on their own feet and they can afford themselves then they can look forward to help their staff members and widely spread to community society and the country on their moral basis eventually. The finding reveals that ethics morality and business objectives can go together and they also support to each other. Therefore this study will demonstrate the Buddhist principles which are insightful and applicable in practice of HRD in some healtcare business in Thailand. [LCSH]Learning strategiesAbstract: A way to improve English language teaching is an investigation of the students’ English language problems and learning strategies. This study therefore investigated this issue. This was a case study employing a survey design and using Rebecca Oxford (1990) Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) and Rubin, J., & Thompson, I. (1994) as instruments for data collection from 104 high school students in Lampang Province. The results of this study revealed that the most serious English problem reported by this group of students was writing skills. Major problems regarding to writing included the following: unable to write an essay within limited time, unable to write an academic paper in English, unable to perfectly use grammatical rules in writing any papers, and unable develop a suitable structure for the content. Other problems were sociocultural on second language learning skills, and barriers to intercultural communication and reading skills respectively. This study is a puzzle to the whole picture. Future inquiry should replicate this study to see the whole picture of this issue. Foreign spa customersAbstract: This study aims to: identify the levels of each the six English communicative skills of the spa therapists working in Bangkok, namely grammar, listening, speaking, reading, gestures, and cultural awareness, examine the overall picture of their six English communicative skills, find out what English communicative skills should be the main priorities of a potential English communicative framework for spa therapists in Bangkok, and explore the strongest and weakest components (sub-skills) of each English communicative skill as perceived by foreign customers.
Following the simple sampling and purposive sampling techniques, a 5-likert scale questionnaire was administered to one foreign spa customer of each of the 244 spa centers (out of 616 spa centers) throughout Bangkok to find out their viewpoints towards the six English communicative skills of the spa therapists working in Bangkok.
The findings indicated that despite of their good levels, the spa therapists’ six English communicative skills need to be further strengthened. Cultural awareness was ranked the strongest (mean 3.84) of all, whereas speaking was ranked the weakest (mean 3.70).
In addition, due to the respondents from the ten regions of the world, the potential English communicative framework for spa therapists in Bangkok varies according to their viewpoints, needs, and expectations. However, from an overall perspective, the potential English communicative framework for spa therapists working in Bankok should include speaking, listening, and grammar, respectively, as the major elements. Meanwhile, reading, cultural awareness, and gestures, respectively, should also be incorporated into the framework as the minor elements.
