Li Xiongcai Art Research ProjectAbstract: If a national museum represents the country's past and civilization, then a university art museum represents the University's heritage and aesthetic heights. The Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall, as one of the museum groups of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, was established in 1991. Different from other professional museums, the Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall chose a different path and made contributions to the local art history. For many years, the hall has explored the collection, research, and teaching resources of the Lingnan Painting School. The most representative case is the "Li Xiongcai Art Research Project" that started in 2007.
In the era of the global art museum explosion, university art museums need to think about independent operating models. The research objectives of this thesis are to investigate the situation of university art museums in the relevant documents of the Chinese government, collect and analyze the operating systems' data of typical university art museums, and use the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project as a case to showcase the advantages of a university art museum's operating system.
The samples were selected using purposive sampling of non-probability sampling method. The instruments of this study were document research and textual analysis.
Population And Sample Scope: In the years 2010-2021, 124 documents were officially mentioned on the website of the Chinese government. Network data of 5 domestic university art museums in China in the years 2019-2021 were also collected. Data related to the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project, including the positioning of the Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall, planning, process, and results of the Li Xiongcai art research project were collected for the years 2007-2012. Additionally, 7014 different theme data were screened and combined.
Results: Although the Chinese government provided economic support, defined concepts, guided collection and exhibition, and attempted to conduct quantitative statistics for university art museums, the complex situation made it difficult to accurately count the data of university art museums. Based on their long history, many university art museums in China had a higher number of collections than other art museums established later. The data showed that five university art galleries made efforts in various aspects of collection, research, and education. The successful model of the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project, which integrated collection, research, and education, could be replicated and had a long-lasting and widespread influence.
Conclusions and recommendations: Despite the efforts made by Chinese government departments to support various aspects of university art museums, university art museums should actively seek more government support. While university art museums have made continuous contributions to collection, research, and education for many years, their primary service is teaching, and they should lead public education alongside elite education. The operational model of Li Xiongcai's art research demonstrates the advantages of the Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall. The university art museum should be able to produce more new knowledge based on the experience of the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project.Curricular : BALA/GE/MTEIL/PhDSCS Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28652 SIU Thesis. Business model innovations to build non-profit art organizations to respond to the current precarious living environment. More specifically, this paper proposes a new framework for innovation for nonprofit arts organizations called business model innovation for nonprofit arts organizations. The model is the result of doctoral research that includes several art institutions and non-profit art organizations in the United States, France, and China. Raising the revenue of nonprofit art institutions is crucial, and no art institution is exceptional, there is little literature in the study of actual fundraising strategies for art institutions, and research that focuses primarily on the ethics of revenue sources rather than best practices in other disciplines has always been problematic because the theory it tries to apply does not always apply. There is also little research on the dynamics of local income generation, so there is an urgent need for practical research on this topic, such as data from comparative analysis of sources of income. For this study, data were collected from art institutions such as Nature and the Arts Organization (USA), IMAJ-UNESCO Art Center (France), CGK-Contemporary Art Gallery Kunming, etc. Semi-structured interviews and revenue records of key employees of three representative arts organizations were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
Several key findings highlight business model innovation and the direct and indirect benefits of business external partners, Value innovation, nonprofit art organization boundary collaboration is key to revenue and sustainability, and value identification also influences innovation and revenue generation. This study reinforces our knowledge of the economics of non-profit arts organizations. I believe that the sustainability of non-profit arts organizations needs to be combined with their own practices and cultural project innovations. Finally, I make some recommendations that organizational and technological innovation and value creation innovation can improve economic, market, and social performance, which will facilitate the practice and sustainable development of future non-profit arts organizations.Curricular : BBA/GE/MBA/PhDM Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28459 SIU Thesis. [LCSH]PaintingKeywords: Artwork Price, Professional Painter, Consumer Buying Behavior, Chinese Flower-And-Bird Painting Abstract: With the increase of these personal incomes and the improvement of material conditions, people's pursuit of spiritual enjoyment also naturally arises, and the demand for carrier art that can meet this pursuit has also increased. How the art market operates and how artwork is priced is not only the focus of the art market participants, especially investors, but also the focus of researchers. This article studies the decision of art price from two angles of intrinsic value of art and macroeconomic factors. This study uses economic theory to analyze the nature and operation of the artwork market, and uses econometrics to analyze and discuss the characteristics of the art pricing method. It initially reveals the operation law of the artwork market and determines the impact the degree of influence of artwork prices.
On the basis of understanding the status quo of artistic creation of professional painters, this research attempts to explore whether the intrinsic value attributes and macroeconomic factors of the value of artworks will affect the creation of professional painters' artworks, and analyze whether there is a certain correlation between the two. In the process of research, it is found that the influence between the two is not direct. Adding an intermediary variable to the purchase behavior of consumers will make the influence relationship between them more complete. This paper adopts a quantitative research method to design a questionnaire suitable for this research, and selects professional painters from the representative Chinese Painting Artists Association of Shandong Province as the research object. This article also adopted the interview method, interviewing twenty senior professional painters in Qingzhou, which made the thesis more convincing.
The author collected 409 valid questionnaires, and through relevant analysis and regression analysis, it was verified that the intrinsic value attributes of art value and macroeconomic factors have a significant influence on consumer purchase behavior, and also have a significant influence on professional painters’ artistic creation. , The purchase behavior of consumers also directly affects the creative enthusiasm of professional painters. In particular, the four variables of art value, cultural value, GDP per capita, and inflation rate have the most significant impact on consumer purchasing behavior. The second is aesthetic value, money supply, exchange rate, and the correlation coefficient between interest rate and purchasing behavior is negative. This also directly affects consumers' purchasing power for artworks, and ultimately affects the artistic creation of professional painters.Curricular : BBA/GE/MBA/PhDM Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28443 SIU Thesis. We must record these things and leave them to future generations. This is also the task that educators should accomplish.
This paper is mainly divided into five chapters. The first chapter discusses the research background and significance of the research objectives, introducing the general situation of such a topic. The second chapter introduces the development and evolution of Chinese and ancient paintings, especially the picture of old figures and related processes.
