[LCSH]Teachers -- Evaluation -- ThailandKeywords: English Program, EP, Evaluation, Organizational Performance, Communication, Participation, Commitment Abstract: English Program department in Thai schools with a semi-independent hybrid of Thai program and International Program has specialized standards that draw interests to parents, students, and teachers. Its increasing acceptance has inspired this evaluation study to be conducted to make clear the realistic condition of the performance of the EP department. Assessments of every stakeholder were respectfully treated independently then were integrated so as to arrive at a sense of balance in representing the overall makeup of the whole EP department. Pre-determined factors were used as subject of analysis.
Being a young organization, disputes arise with its performance. There’s an apparent dilemma with how different mechanisms of communication between and among stakeholders affects its performance as a whole. Stakeholder engagement and involvement instigates tight spot. There is a setback with stakeholders’ commitment in supporting the EP department to arrive at a favorable performance.
This study utilized a mixed method approach and decided to evaluate the performance of an EP department in a Thai secondary public school. The evaluation process shed light on the realistic condition of the performance of the EP department highlighting how it is affected by functional communication, stakeholders’ participation, and stakeholders’ commitment in supporting the EP department.
The study was able to complement the concept of the Strategic Constituency Approach which was later suggested to merge the concept of “Part-Whole Science” in evaluating organizational performance and in examining how contingency factors influence the organization’s performance.

EnforcementAbstract: This paper attempts to examine and quantify the degree of safety-helmet use by motorcyclists and their passengers in Thailand. Specifically, the paper examines the phenomena in three separate locations within Thailand. The paper will also review the literature surrounding road safety in general, road safety for motorcyclists, proper helmet use, Thai acts of parliament aimed at motorcyclists, and the degree to which helmet use is enforced or policed in Thailand.
Experts posit that road fatalities, and the serious debilitating injuries caused by road traffic accidents, can impact a nation’s GDP by as much as 5%. Perhaps even more importantly, especially in the context of a developing country, is the direct impact to families who lose their prime bread-winner or wage-earner. This loss may either be permanent, as in the case of a fatality, or extended over a protracted period of time, where families find themselves having to care for severely injured members. In the latter case, the requirement for care is often long-term, with little in the way of insurance or medical benefits to offset the burden.
It is hoped that a study of motorcycle related road traffic fatalities may identify or highlight interventions or strategies that could be employed to mitigate the road toll in Thailand.

The ability to do business regardless of location have given rise to unprecedented globalization. But, competing in this "global village" offers the companies of today big opportunities and equally big challenges. It is obvious, to state that all organizations whether public or private, are now dependent to the point of absolute on their IS/IT systems. Integrating these systems into organizations has been identified as a vital process in IS/IT ‘strategic planning’. The increased dependence on technologies in businesses has led to many catastrophic failures or successes in some organizations. IS/IT strategies have triggered, or contributed these catastrophic failures or shaped the success in organizations.
The IS/IT strategy gives organizations a competitive advantage when properly managed. These competitive advantages are typically temporary as competitors often seek ways to duplicate the competitive advantage. In order to stay ahead of competition, organizations have to continually develop new competitive advantages. In this study we focus on how organizations strategically manage their IS/IT resources as a competitive advantage. Businesses try to overcome today’s challenges by developing new models of competition, governing their IS/IT resources, and innovating their business processes to thrive in this digital age. automation systemAbstract: The research study is based on the investment decision of SMEs in automotive parts industry for flexible automation (soft) system. The study adopts a quantitative approach to identify factors of decision made towards soft automation. Based on detailed examination of literature, the research questionnaires were developed and by collecting quantitative data were used to investigate. The researcher uses free and face to face interview of top level managers both male and female.
The factors that influence which were determined were cost, output, labour and governmental to determine the change from hard to soft automation. The data gathered through questionnaires which were completed by investors and top level managers states that there are many factors like, labour, output and governmental factors that influence their decision making process when they wanted to invest in soft automation. Most of the SMEs focused on long term period and this is the main reason they did not consider the cost of soft automation. Governmental factor was one of the determining factors for investors since they were expecting some regulation and soft loan from the government owned bank. The ever increasing labour cost has led to investors to think about having low labour turnover. They wanted to invest in skilled labour but limit their number to decrease cost. By increasing period of production time and increasing soft automation use investors want to increase output to reduce cost per unit.
The main limitation of this research is that the primary data collected through face to face interview is only of top level manager’s perspectives about soft automation investment decision. If we could have both top level managers and investors perspective it would have given a clearer understanding of the process. The researcher begins in his research to identify the influencing factors which draws the investors to make decision in shifting or purchasing flexible (soft) automation. Then, he methodologically discusses his findings concluding his work with his finding comparing with what scholars says theoretically.Curricular : BBA/MBA/PhDM Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=26663 SIU SS.
