[LCSH]Digital mediaAbstract: In the digital age, new media art emerges as an evolving art form due to rapid technological advancement and unprecedented perceptions. This study examines how new media art characteristics influence exhibition promotion effectiveness, focusing on the Guangzhou International Lighting Festival. It investigates themes, work selection, related award submissions, and evaluations of award-winning new media art works by professionals and the public. The research employs case study, literature analysis, in- depth interviews, and surveys. It analyzes views of art professionals and the public's evaluation of the Light Arts Award (Guangzhou) and Trophy of Lights (Lyon) winning works. Findings reveal new media art prioritizes media creation, and its characteristics impact audience preferences, technical application methods, and perception of humanities and technology. These characteristics also influence lighting festival promotion and the Light Arts Award (Guangzhou) evaluation criteria. The lighting art festival should serve as a platform for new concepts, with contemporary themes and deepened discussion of issues. This research can be a reference for future planning and execution of the Guangzhou International Lighting Festival and related art festivals. Cultural InheritanceAbstract: Today, with more and more attention to cultural development, historic districts have attracted special attention. Historic districts can not only directly reflect the overall regional style, but also inherit urban culture through architecture, landscape and cultural relics. However, under the dual pressure of the strong impact of western culture and large-scale urban modernization, historic districts are facing problems such as the disappearance of cultural carriers and the reduction of awareness, resulting in the gradual loss of people's sense of regional identity and belonging. Under this situation, seeking the organic renewal mode of regional cultural inheritance and paying attention to development quality has become the focus of the transformation of historic districts. This study attempts to describe the current situation of the renewal of historic districts in Guangzhou and answer how to better renew historic districts. Rapid urbanization and rural development have led to the loss of traditional villages and the deterioration of the Diaolou. This study examines the concept of place memory through multidisciplinary fields such as anthropology, history, sociology, architecture, and art, and identifies the correct methods to protect the Diaolou. The research analyzes the protection status of the Diaolou and identifies the lack of integration among the 1833 Diaolou buildings in Kaiping. The investigation reveals the need for scientific research methods, data management, and cultural value research for the Diaolou. The study suggests initiating a protection and management project for the Diaolou in the buffer zone to ensure the same level of protection and management as the core area. However, funding for the project remains insufficient, and innovative financing methods are needed to carry out renovation and protection work for the Diaolou and villages. The paper concludes by emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the cultural heritage of the Diaolou and promoting reasonable tourism development in the future. The film selected for this study was Love Actually. The participants of this study included 37 students. The instruments included the four steps of awareness-raising instructions and a questionnaire. The conclusion drew from qualitative and quantitative analyses. Descriptive analysis and descriptive statistics used for data analysis. The result of the study showed that films instructions and awareness-raising could be affected and be enhanced students on the target of language and cultural discussion. Students become more aware of their language learning on listening and speaking. In addition, the students’ attitude towards films and awareness-raising were positive. To succeed the next study on ESL classroom, researchers should select the film that is most appropriate for the purpose of cultural promotion and the student English proficiency and turn it into well-planned teaching materials to specifically draw the learners’ attention to learning. Cultural tourism is conducive to the protection of cultural heritage, and through cultural inheritance and innovation to improve the cultural quality of the people. In recent years, traditional villages have achieved rapid development in the cultural tourism industry by virtue of their unique advantages in cultural resources. However, the development of traditional villages shows the homogeneity phenomenon of "one thousand villages", lacking cultural characteristics, cultural creativity and regional characteristics, and the cultural identification in cultural tourism is not dominant.
This paper focuses on the construction of overseas Chinese villages in Chaoshan area of eastern Guangdong Province. Chaoshan region, as one of the three hometowns of overseas Chinese in Guangdong, has its own unique construction techniques of ancient dwellings. Many Chaoshan intangible cultures have been included in the list of national intangible cultural Heritage. This study is based on the ontological study of the residential buildings in Chaoshan Township, analyzes the geographical, humanistic and economic characteristics of Chaoshan area, discusses the causes of the formation of architectural forms, tries to analyze the Chaoshan culture, the ethnic character of Chaoshan people "embracing all rivers" and the historical humanistic and aesthetic value of the residential buildings in Chaoshan Township from the aesthetic and cultural characteristics of the residential buildings, and then from the perspective of cultural and tourism development, Interviews and questionnaires were used to collect the original data, and three issues were discussed, namely material and intangible cultural elements in the development of cultural tourism in Chaoshan overseas Chinese townships, the realization path of the development mode of cultural tourism in residential buildings in Chaoshan overseas Chinese townships, and the balance between the protection and development of residential buildings in Chaoshan overseas Chinese townships. Finally, according to the research results, This paper puts forward the path to realize the sustainable development and development of the cultural and tourism integration of the residential buildings in Chaoshan and overseas Chinese townships. The research conclusion provides the basis for the cultural and tourism development of the residential buildings in Chaoshan and overseas Chinese townships.
This study is expected to provide reference for displaying contemporary Chaoshan overseas Chinese tourism style and enriching the connotation of cultural tourism. The topic selection is conducive to strengthening the regional identity, cultural cohesion and cultural confidence of Chaoshan people, and is more conducive to continuing the historical context of Chaoshan and spreading and carrying forward the Chaoshan culture. It is hoped that this study can provide an effective reference for the development of tourism in Chaoshan overseas Chinese townships, so as to transform the advantages of residential architecture tourism resources into economic advantages and further promote the development and improvement of the regional economy.Curricular : BALA/GE/MTEIL Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28663 SIU Thesis. [LCSH]SongKeywords: Student Satisfaction, Quasi Experiment, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Learning English Through Songs Abstract: This thesis assessed the instructional practice of teaching English through songs for the purpose of improving ESL students’ vocabulary, grammar, and phrases. The hypothesis of this research was that a song lesson can help students to feel better regarding their English skills and the improvement of these skills. A quasi experimental assessment was used with a convenience sample of 30 randomly selected nursing students attending Shinawatra University. The data of this research is from the responses given to a questionnaire by students. The nursing students rated their satisfaction score for the various lessons. The researcher used this satisfaction ranking level to calculate and to determine if there was a difference satisfaction level between each group by using ANOVA analysis. The research findings were then analysed and explained using the Bloom’s Taxonomy model.
A ‘Song lesson’ can be considered as an option to supplement traditional instructional planning. Students can remember words or phrases if there is frequent listening to a song. The students can improve their understanding skills which is the second level of Bloom’s Taxonomy. But in the end, a song lesson is very difficult to go beyond the second level of Bloom’s taxonomy because songs are not always grammatically correct. The results of this research indicates that a song lesson can help students to develop a greater interest in studying English and it can help their oral communication skills.Curricular : BALA/GE/MTEIL Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=27780 SIU Thesis.
