Cultural InheritanceAbstract: Today, with more and more attention to cultural development, historic districts have attracted special attention. Historic districts can not only directly reflect the overall regional style, but also inherit urban culture through architecture, landscape and cultural relics. However, under the dual pressure of the strong impact of western culture and large-scale urban modernization, historic districts are facing problems such as the disappearance of cultural carriers and the reduction of awareness, resulting in the gradual loss of people's sense of regional identity and belonging. Under this situation, seeking the organic renewal mode of regional cultural inheritance and paying attention to development quality has become the focus of the transformation of historic districts. This study attempts to describe the current situation of the renewal of historic districts in Guangzhou and answer how to better renew historic districts.
