The purpose of this paper is to find whether the motivational factors such as recognition, compensation and reward, organization culture, quality of work life, and growth and development motivate the employees of the IT companies in the Kathmandu Valley as well as examine the relationship between those factors with employee retention.
In order to answer these questions, a primary data survey was conducted on 120 respondents working at 5 different IT companies in the Kathmandu Valley. The data were analyzed using statistical tools such as Descriptive analysis, Cronbach Alpha test, Cross Tabulation, Chi-Square test, Correlation analysis and Regression analysis.
From the analysis, it was concluded that there is a very close association and relationship between the motivational factors used as independent variables (recognition, compensation and reward, organization culture, quality of work life, growth and development) with the dependent variable, i.e. employee retention.Curricular : BBA/MBA Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=27531 SIU IS. This study explores beverages distributor industry in Thailand and what role the awareness of Custom Software for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) plays in its success in Employee Productivity enhancement.
An inductive approach was utilised as a methodology for determining Employee Productivity enhancement as it related to the awareness. The resulting qualitative analysis of that data addresses issues of enhancing and maintaining Employee Productivity, providing competitiveness across the beverage distribution industry and maintain a good profitability margin for survival and growth. This ability to provide competitiveness and Employee Productivity enhancement was not well optimised in the past.
A qualitative analysis of data collected in this study provided a grounded theory to support the awareness of Custom Software for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in a Thai distribution industry to enhance Employee Productivity.
