Psychological Capital | Abstract: | Due to the changing environment and intense competition, innovation has become an important strategy for organizations to retain their competitive ability and employees’ innovative behavior has been the key successful factor in promoting business competition. Based on the Social Cognitive Theory, the purpose of this research was to study the impacts of coaching leadership and psychological capital on employee’s innovative behavior in high-tech enterprises in Henan province , China.
The study used a quantitative design, data were collected through a questionnaire from the high-tech enterprises located in Henan province, China. A sample of 400 participants were studied in this research. The SPSS 21.0 statistical analysis packages were used to analyze the data. Independent T-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson coefficient and multiple regression were used to test data variables and to test the hypothesis.
The results showed that: (1) There is a significant impact of coaching leadership on employee innovative behavior ( γ = 0.35, p < 0.05);. (2) There is a significant impact of psychological capital on employee innovative behavior( γ = 0.47, p < 0.05). Our findings suggest that organizations should pay attention to their coaching leadership training program, which is significant affect their employees’ innovative behavior. In addition, their employees’ psychological capital have a great impact on their innovation.
