Abstract: Preterm birth remains a major contibutor to infant mortality including neurodevelopment delay and childchood disability. Mothers experiencing a preterm birth are at risk for maternal mental health issues. Inclusive of depression and posttraumatic stress disorder (PSTD). frequently comorbid following preterm birth and relationships between these symptoms maternal infant attacthment and infant dwevelopment are reviewed.Assessments and interventions potentially capable of benefiting mother and infant are noted. The need for healthcare professional to intervence prentally and at postpartum is a significant as maternal distress remains one of the most consistent factors related to infant developmeny. Although depression has recieved much attention in the literature as a risk factor for preterm birth impaired attachment and delayed infant development some of the consequences of the PSTD have only recently gained research attention. A few studies eupport the role of PSTD following birth are at a higher risk for motor development problem. Because early mother-infant interaction are influenced by prenaturity as well as maternal mental health. consideration for home interventions that stimulate infant development and encouage mother-infant relationships concurrently are important. Directed interventions may be benificial for infant development and aid in strengthening the mother-infant relationship. potentially reducing depressing and PSTD symptoms in the mother. Female university faculty are a special kind of faculty. They are a group with higher cultural level among women and play an important role in modernization and social progress. In the actual work process, female faculty are the main force of university faculty, and their performance and ability are not inferior to male faculty. However, in all countries in the world, women are still vulnerable groups in society. They are more or less discriminated in education, work and family. They are very different from male faculty in job promotion, social status and salary. The difficulties and obstacles encountered in career development affect the mental health level and life happiness of female university faculty. At the same time, these negative factors affect the professional competency and work achievement of female faculty, and will eventually affect the overall development of higher education in the world.
In this paper, the female faculty of five universities in Shanxi Province of China were given questionnaires, the data were statistically analyzed by SPSS and AMOS, and the descriptive statistical analysis, difference analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, structural equation model and so on were completed. Study the correlation between mental health and social support, social support and professional competency, and explore the mediating effect of social support between mental health and professional competency of female university faculty. It is hoped that the conclusion can provide inspiration and guidance for the female career dilemma, the construction and management of university faculty, the improvement and training of university faculty, and the development of faculty' mental health, and provide theoretical basis for the development of female faculty' mental health and the improvement of their professional competency.Curricular : BBA/BNS/GE/MBA/PhDM Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28441 SIU Thesis. Title : Does Access to Green Space Impact the Mental Well-being of Children : A Systematic Review Material Type: printed text Authors: McCormick, Rachel, Author Publication Date: 2018 Article on page: p.3-7 Languages : English (eng) Original Language : English (eng)
in Journal of Pediatric Nursing > Vol.37 No.6 (Nov-Dec) 2017 [03/29/2018] . - p.3-7Keywords: Green space, Access, Mental health, Stress, Children Abstract: Problem
An increasing body of research is showing associations between green space and overall health. Children are spending more time indoors while pediatric mental and behavioral health problems are increasing. A systematic review of the literature was done to examine the association between access to green space and the mental well-being of children.
Eligibility Criteria
Articles were limited to English language, ages 0–18 years, and publish date 2012–2017.
Sample
The search yielded 341 articles in Ovid, 81 in Pub Med and 123 in Scopus. Articles that were not original research and that were not a pediatric population were excluded. Twelve articles fit the selection criteria.
Results
Twelve articles relating to green space and the mental well-being of children were reviewed. Three articles outside the date criteria were included as they are cited often in the literature as important early research on this topic.
Conclusions
Access to green space was associated with improved mental well-being, overall health and cognitive development of children. It promotes attention restoration, memory, competence, supportive social groups, self-discipline, moderates stress, improves behaviors and symptoms of ADHD and was even associated with higher standardized test scores.
Implications
Scientific evidence demonstrating the mental health benefits of access to nature for children can guide policy and urban planning, while nursing interventions and initiatives can enhance health by promoting outdoor play, educating patients and families, advocating for recess times and green environments at school as well as healing gardens in hospital settings.Link for e-copy: http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-pediatric-nursing/ Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=27615 [article] Does Access to Green Space Impact the Mental Well-being of Children : A Systematic Review [printed text] / McCormick, Rachel, Author . - 2018 . - p.3-7.

Title : The effect of short films about about mental health and disorder : on preventing stigmatization in nursing education Material Type: printed text Authors: Bilge, Aysegul, Author ; Palabiyik, Ozge, Author Publication Date: 2017 Article on page: p.88-92 Languages : English (eng) Original Language : English (eng)
in Archives of Psychiatric Nursing > Vol.31 No.1 (Feb) 2017 [07/20/2017] . - p.88-92Keywords: Mental health.Mental health Disoders.Nursing education. Abstract: The aim of the study is to determine the effect of nursing students making short films about mental health disorders in preventing stigmatization of the mentally disordered patient. Students, under the supervision of the faculty member who taught the course, worked in groups; each group wrote the script for and then produced and showed the film. Each student performed in one film. Students wrote scenarios about preventing stigmatization of the mentally disordered patient after receiving theoretical education about this topic. The films were completed in a month. Short films made by students were evaluated based on their titles. The titles reveal that the films were mainly concerned with social problems. It is remarkable that students performed in an empathetic way particularly when discussing psychopathology and that they emphasized the attitudes of the families. Students wrote themselves scenarios, performed role-sharing, and employed visual displays, which showed that they were against stigmatization. This study concluded that short films about mental health disorders made by students have a positive effect on preventing stigmatization of the mentally disordered patient. Abstract: Abstract: One out of every five to seven births is affected by postpartum depression, making it the most common maternal health problem in the first year after childbirth. Early identification and treatment are essential, though screening and treatment rates are low. Factors that inhibit effective screening and treatment include lack of uniform screening policies in all maternal health settings, poor coordination of care between primary care and mental health services, inadequate coordination of community education efforts and resources, social stigma surrounding mental health treatment, and ineffective application of research and technology in the clinical setting. An interdisciplinary model that includes primary care providers, mental health professionals, community resources, policy makers, researchers, and technological innovators addresses these gaps in care and enhances screening and treatment efforts that improve overall maternal and child health. We present a promising interdisciplinary cross-organizational approach coalescing diverse perspectives from those working across policy, research, training, primary care, and mental health in various disciplines to practice collaboratively to improve perinatal mental healthcare.
