Operational level | Abstract: | As the working pattern has changed, many women who have one or more child can enter labor force. At the same time they need to take to do their household works such as cooking, washing, buying, caring children, look after elders, sending and picking children to and from school and so on. But, the rapid growth of economic gave rise to tremendously increase the entry of women to labor market of Myanmar. As the women take on the role of working in addition to their traditional role of the homemaker, they are under pressure to balance their work and personal life. This study will examine the tough challenges faced by operational level working mother in maintaining a balance between their personal and professional life. The target group are working at operational level in Mandalay, Myanmar. The study is based on a narrative qualitative study of 102 operational level working women in both public and private sectors.
