Comparative StudyAbstract: Modern special education of China and Thailand both originated in the late 20th century. After half a century of development, both countries have made remarkable progress in special education. In this article, author interviewed 30 higher education teachers from 30 public universities (China and Thailand), where their universities are all set up the major of special education. This paper is based on qualitative research in both countries concerning three aspects: comparison characteristics of special education majors in China and Thailand, comparison of the objectives of special educational teacher training in universities in China and Thailand, comparison of special education curriculum in universities in China and Thailand. Providing the successful experience and inspiration of special education majors in Chinese and Thai universities. Promoting the reform of training patterns for special education teachers in universities in China and specialized in special education in universities.
