Overconfidence Bias | Abstract: | The study tries to find out the impact of herding behaviour and overconfidence bias on decision making of an individual investor in Nepalese stock market. Influencing factors are categorized into investors’ herding behaviour and investors’ overconfidence bias. Investors’ herding behaviour includes social influence and real time information whereas investors’ overconfidence bias includes mis-calibration and experience. Investment decision making includes investors’ choice of stock and investors’ trade decision. The study covers individual investors using convenience sampling method to obtain information from 106 respondent’s through survey questionnaire. Independent t- test, Pearson’s Correlation, Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and regression analysis were employed with the help of SPSS. The results shows that the investors’ herding behaviour and overconfidence bias have strong positive correlation with investment decision making of an investor and there exists significant relationship of investment decision making of an investor with herding behaviour and overconfidence bias.
