O-Net Test | | Abstract: | The O-Net scores of Thai learners were disappointing. A study of curriculums was an attempt to find the solution to this problem. This study therefore analyzed a the basic English curriculums with two specific objectives which were to: 1) describe and compare different types of curriculum on language learning and 2) describe and compare different types of curriculum on language skills achievement. The different types of curriculum and a national test of English achievement under analysis in this study included Basic Education Core Curriculum, School Curriculums and O-Net Test. The curriculums of three schools purposively selected included Assumption College Primary Section School, Wat Thungkru Puengsaianusorn School, and Roong-Aroon School. The results of this study revealed that the curriculums had fewer effects on English learning and language skills achievement than classroom processes and methodology.
