Li Xiongcai Art Research ProjectAbstract: If a national museum represents the country's past and civilization, then a university art museum represents the University's heritage and aesthetic heights. The Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall, as one of the museum groups of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, was established in 1991. Different from other professional museums, the Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall chose a different path and made contributions to the local art history. For many years, the hall has explored the collection, research, and teaching resources of the Lingnan Painting School. The most representative case is the "Li Xiongcai Art Research Project" that started in 2007.
In the era of the global art museum explosion, university art museums need to think about independent operating models. The research objectives of this thesis are to investigate the situation of university art museums in the relevant documents of the Chinese government, collect and analyze the operating systems' data of typical university art museums, and use the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project as a case to showcase the advantages of a university art museum's operating system.
The samples were selected using purposive sampling of non-probability sampling method. The instruments of this study were document research and textual analysis.
Population And Sample Scope: In the years 2010-2021, 124 documents were officially mentioned on the website of the Chinese government. Network data of 5 domestic university art museums in China in the years 2019-2021 were also collected. Data related to the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project, including the positioning of the Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall, planning, process, and results of the Li Xiongcai art research project were collected for the years 2007-2012. Additionally, 7014 different theme data were screened and combined.
Results: Although the Chinese government provided economic support, defined concepts, guided collection and exhibition, and attempted to conduct quantitative statistics for university art museums, the complex situation made it difficult to accurately count the data of university art museums. Based on their long history, many university art museums in China had a higher number of collections than other art museums established later. The data showed that five university art galleries made efforts in various aspects of collection, research, and education. The successful model of the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project, which integrated collection, research, and education, could be replicated and had a long-lasting and widespread influence.
Conclusions and recommendations: Despite the efforts made by Chinese government departments to support various aspects of university art museums, university art museums should actively seek more government support. While university art museums have made continuous contributions to collection, research, and education for many years, their primary service is teaching, and they should lead public education alongside elite education. The operational model of Li Xiongcai's art research demonstrates the advantages of the Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall. The university art museum should be able to produce more new knowledge based on the experience of the Li Xiongcai Art Research Project.Curricular : BALA/GE/MTEIL/PhDSCS Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28652 SIU Thesis. It is found that the development of contemporary lacquer art creation language presents the following characteristics: first, diversified, artists have made a variety of experimental attempts on the basis of traditional lacquer art techniques; The other is avant-garde. Some artists try to express their personal opinions and social problems through lacquer art. Third, it is transboundary. Some artists combine lacquer art with other media to present new visual effects and forms of expression.
Traditional arts and crafts play an important role in the contemporary lacquer art creation language, inheriting the traditional techniques and artistic styles of ancient lacquer ware making, and providing an important reference and inspiration for the contemporary lacquer art creation. The evaluation system of contemporary art can learn from the theories and methods of western modern art and examine the artistry and culture of contemporary lacquer art from a diversified perspective. In the future, the development trend of contemporary lacquer art creation language will continue to show the characteristics of diversification, avant-garde and trans-boundary, and will also pay more attention to the expression of artists' personalities and the embodiment of social significance.Curricular : BALA/GE/MTEIL Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28656 SIU Thesis. Chinese CalligraphyAbstract: The primary objective of a character is to communicate, so it must be recognizable so it will be effective. Using knowledge structures that affect therapeutic outcomes, this research aims to explore how Chinese calligraphy can be used for cross-cultural communication by presenting objects in different contexts. A study of calligraphy through an aesthetic process is the goal of the project. It has been demonstrated that calligraphic effects are significantly influenced by topological and gestalt properties of the writing content. In practice, users' perception, cognition, and neurophysiology have been observed to be influenced by Chinese characters' visual-spatial properties. By integrating sensory, bio-emotional, and cognitive feedback, Cybernetic Theory can generate dynamic graphics through a multi feedback-based behavior system that will provide the theoretical foundation for this study. Depending on the concepts, knowledge levels, and relationship with the person being evaluated, evaluation subjects produce different results. The factors that influence evaluation subjects are divided into two categories, the relationship between evaluation subjects and evaluation objects, or interest correlation; and the relationship between the evaluation subject and its evaluation content, or its structure of knowledge. When evaluating something, a person must establish psychological value judgment standards based on the way they understand the item. Through the analysis of equal symbols interpreted differently by Chinese cultures, this study explores cross-cultural communication via a variety of knowledge structures. In teaching and creating, copying ancient Chinese paintings can deepen the research on ancient art and greatly help in education and creation. We must record these things and leave them to future generations. This is also the task that educators should accomplish.
This paper is mainly divided into five chapters. The first chapter discusses the research background and significance of the research objectives, introducing the general situation of such a topic. The second chapter introduces the development and evolution of Chinese and ancient paintings, especially the picture of old figures and related processes. The third chapter analyzes and organizes the relevant collected data. Anime production work flow,Abstract: Anime is an art form that has been accepted and being enjoyed by more and more people in recent years. It is its unique sign form of using crafted images instead of filming real people that gives the audience special viewing experience. Such unique sign form is produced by creators and received by the audience through a series of sign processes, which has its own characteristics.
The aim of this research is to investigate the nature of anime during production; to determine whether and how the production procedure affects the final anime signs; and to figure out whether audience’s interpretation of a sign is similar to or different from the meaning originally assigned by the creator, and if so, in what manner.
In this current research, documentary analysis is carried out in order to investigate the nature and workflow of anime. An observation is applied with the purpose to gather the production of anime together with creators’ thought process and audience’s reaction to the produced anime. Three groups of creators, therefore, are observed and video recorded while they are creating their anime. An interview is applied to collect audience’s reactions towards the work of the other groups. Comparative analysis is applied to recognize the production procedure, and the job of creators.
It was found that qualified anime works are consisted of signs that have clear forms and meanings that could easily be understood by audience. From semiotics’ perspective, the production of anime is the production of sign. By building Firstness, Secondness and Thirdness, the whole production process can be regarded as a series of semiosis under control. The operation of anime is also the process of semiosis, mainly reflecting the nature that different interpreters may interpret the same sign in different ways.

By using methods of corpus-based analysis, literature review and semi-structured interview, the CSE 86 scales are analyzed to find what are concerned while CSE is used in evaluating learners’ language ability by observing 11 key nouns used to define language proficiency; literatures are categorized into application and development by years to analyze and semi-structured interviews are done and transcripts are coded and analyzed to support the analysis. The interaction the CSE made to elements at three levels in its environment is analyzed and found that the CSE tried to evaluate learners’ English proficiency from some keywords like ‘information’, ‘topics’, ‘sentences’; the CSE gained well interaction at micro level; the CSE didn’t get enough attention at meso level; and the CSE gained much attention from state government and world but not much attention from local government. In order to gain further development, the CSE should be developed and applied at every level.Curricular : BALA/GE/MTEIL Record link: http://libsearch.siu.ac.th/siu/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28658 SIU Thesis.
