This paper adopts case observation and interview methods, and takes Wanzhou Road Primary School in Dujiangyan Irrigation Project City as the survey object. On this basis, the value of using graphs is summarized through literature review, and combined with the distribution of types of graphs in primary school music textbooks, the application purpose, teaching effectiveness, and graph design of graphs are analyzed through conversations with frontline teachers. This paper summarizes the characteristics and current situation of graphics application, and analyzes the problems of graphics in music teaching. Identified the main problems and proposed optimization paths one by one to promote the development of graph application teaching in music education. Research shows that charts are effective auxiliary tools in primary school music teaching. The strategy for using charts can be to choose appropriate chart types according to the students' music learning stage, design different charts in combination with different teaching contents; use charts according to different needs in music teaching, such as music scenarios, music difficulties, music experience, and music performance.
