Samut Prakan ProvincAbstract: Thailand’s economy has in recent years been sustainable thanks to the dramatic growth of the tourism industry both domestically and internationally. When deeper looking into domestic and slow tourism more analytically, it is found that the number of the Thai tourists travel increase significantly since 10 years ago as well. With one of Thailand’s societal dimensions, the senior population have been rising obviously due to the factors of dramatic improvements in health care and Thailand’s life expectancy expansion meaning female and male people living longer up to average 80 years and 85 years respectively.
The purposes of this research focuses on the perspectives on slow tourism in particular, by surveying viewpoints of both tourism entrepreneurs and Thai senior tourists visiting Samut Prakarn Province, Thailand. In particular, the study pins point the destinations of paid activities such as entry fee. There are three worldwide welknown places i.e. Crocodie Farm and Zoo, Acient Siam and Erawan Museum.
Also, the research aims to study and compare the relations of factors and opinions of tourism entrepreneurs and Thai senior tourists. Both the qualitative and quantitative approaches are employed in this study. Regarding the research instruments, for qualitative approach, the depth interviews are conducted with 15 tourism entrepreneurs, whereas, for quantitative approach, 400 questionnaire are distributed to Thai senior tourists visiting Samut Prakarn Province.
