Job opportunitiesClass number: SIU IS SOM-MBA-2014-M08 Abstract: The purpose of this independent study is to gaining awarenes of the development of rural area in Mandalay region and to increase the general income of rural population supporting through the government project. The government master plan is to support the least developed areas across the country wide. In Myanmar, out of entire (14) states and division (2) Sub-divisions, (73) Districts, (330) townships and (63899) Villages (70.4%) of total population live in rural areas. From that crowd (29.2%) is grass-root level. To develop these areas, Ministry of livestock, Fisheries and rural Development is taking responsibility and department of rural development is responsible department for MyaSein Yaung Village (Ever Green Village) Project on behaft of Ministry. Each and every state and region has appointed one regional director in leading role and taking care of concerned region. This research is focus on Mandalay Region which has large population of rural people. The Regional Rural Development Department is helping this area not only by constructing new roads, bridges and other infrastrcturees but also by implementing MyseinYaung village project to reduce poverty. Implementation scheme of poverty reduction had covered about (11227) households and (ุ68521) of poor people in rural area includes (7) Districts, (23) Townships, (99) villages so far. The revolving fund is (Kyats 30 million) for eash village and the total amount is (Kyats 2.9 Billion) which is equivalent in (US$ 2.9 million) allotted by the government in Masndalay Region.The finding of this study has shown the achievement of rural development project by Department of Rural Development is on right and it will reduce the poverty level as estimate (16%) by the end of 2015 in Mandalay Region.
